Change Your Mind
Yoga and Meditation Retreats at the Zhiwa Ling Hotel
with Kim Roberts
Inspired by the awesome natural beauty and rich spiritual heritage of Bhutan, we will explore how training the mind to be present is not a chore or something that requires superhuman discipline. It is simply to appreciate what is right in front of us. Mornings will be reserved for more invigorating yoga practice, while evening practice will consist of restorative poses and sitting meditation. During the day, various excursions to important cultural and religious sites will be arranged.
Kim has taught yoga and meditation retreats in the US, Europe and Asia since 1995. She trains regularly with Richard Freeman since 1992 and was authorized by Pattabhi Jois to teach the Ashtanga Yoga system in 2004. She taught privately in Paris while working in the Inter-Religious Dialogue Department at UNESCO, ran yoga retreats in post-tsunami Sri Lanka to help garner support for victims, and from 2006-2007 she directed the yoga program at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Hong Kong.
During her residence at the Zhiwa Ling, Kim will also be offering daily meditation and yoga classes, and will be available for individual tuition.
